Krabi was a lot more of a flying visit compared to the rest of our thai trips and the weather wasn’t amazing during our stay! Krabi was a lot more built up that our previous locations and even had a mcdonalds that we managed to avoid and stick to our street food cuisine ( which was like, always amazing ).
We stayed next to what I can only describe as a swamp, not quite the lovely beach backpackers we had previously been in. However, like the saying never judge a book by its cover as it was surprisingly amazing. We lay in hammocks, drinking cider and chatting to other travelers while watching a lightening storm. We were awoken in the morning by a crowd of monkeys, minding their own business. It may have appeared a little swampy but it seemed like we were right in the middle of the jungle.
During our stay in Krabi we only managed to squueze in one trip, we went on the four island hopping tour which was really great despite some rain spells! The boat was a long tail and wasn’t cramped! Stopping off at four different islands throughout the day for snorkeling, food and sunbathing.
There is a few ‘four island tours’ you can pick from including seeing the james bond island so have a wee shop before deciding!
